February 10, St. Michael's came into this game excited and ready to play. With two big wins against San Antonio's St Anthony and Holy Cross they were looking at getting a second chance the the district leading Buttons. This one looked to be an exciting game and it did not disappoint, the two teams exchanged baskets through each of the first two quarters with Central Catholic leading by one point at half time.
The third quarter started just like the second ended with both defenses getting after each other and the offenses exchanging baskets, at the end of the third quarter Central Catholic lead by only 2. This game looked like it was going to go down to the last shot and the fans of both teams were sitting on edge with each and ever position. In the fourth the Crusaders began to struggle, the shooters went ice cold and they had several turn overs in the front court that lead to easy baskets for the Buttons. They were 7 for 26 from three point range and also had 13 turnovers. The Buttons went on a 19 to 8 run in the fourth quarter spoiling the Crusaders chance at pulling off an upset.
