Hendrickson 10-2-0 vs Waxahachie 9-6-0
On paper Hendrickson should not have much problem with Waxahachie in the first round of the playoffs. With Hendrickson averaging 83 points per game this season and Waxahachie at 57 per game it looks like the Hawks should have a first round win. That's on paper and this is the playoffs. Waxahachie has a long winning tradition and their not going to roll over for the Hawks. They will come in and put their defense up against the quick running offense of the Hawks and try to slow them down. In the end I just don't think the Indians have enough to stop Hendrickson's big three all averaging in double figures this season, Jalen Harris 19 ppg, Fernando Rivera 15 ppg, and Jalen Washington 24 ppg.
Rudder 9-3-0 vs Red Oak 10-5-0
This may end up being a difficult game for the Rudder Rangers next week, against the Red Oak Hawks. Rudder averaged 78 ppg this season but allowed an average of 70 ppg to their opponents, while Red Oak averaged 63 ppg but only allowed 57 to their opponents. If the Rangers are going to give up 70 plus points in this game they may find themselves out of the playoffs in the first round. Their going to need big games from thier starting five if they want to see the second round of the playoffs.
Bastrop 9-3-0 vs Lancaster 12-3-0
These two teams could not be any closer statisticly than they already are the Bastrop Bears had a 63% winning percentage while the Lancaster Tigers had a 68% winning percentage this season. The Bears averaged 65 ppg and the Tigers averaged 69 ppg and each team gave up 59 ppg to their opponents. This game will come down to turnovers and rebounding the team with the least amount of the turnover and the team that dominates the boards will move on to the next round.
Hutto 6-5-0 vs Ennis 15-1-0
While the Ennis Lions were the district leader in Region II District 15 they only averaged 65 ppg to the Hutto Hippos 67 ppg. The stat that jumps out at me in this match up is points allowed, the Lions only gave up 56 ppg to their opponents while the Hippos gave up 61 ppg. If the Lions defense keeps the Hippos to under 60 points in this game they should walk out with a first round win. If the Hippos want to pull off the upset against the Lions their going to have to have a big game from their three seniors Denzel Bellinger who averaged 18 ppg this season, as well as Corwin Spears (11 ppg), and D.J Wilson (12 ppg). Good luck to both teams
