February 1, Pflugerville stays undefeated in district by outscoring McNeil by 12. Pflugerville continues its domination in district play with guards Deon Mitchell (14), Darrian Dempsey (18) and Storm Woods (14) all scoring in double figures in this game.
I really enjoy watching a player like Deon Mitchell go out there and use his abilities to help make his teammates better on the court. Mitchell is arguably the best point guard in the Austin area and could probably go out and average 30 + points a game but he doesn't. This kids probably doesn't even know how many points he's scored until after the game is over. He doesn't go out trying to keep he's scoring average up he goes out and does what he has to do to help his team win, and if that means using his ability to get in the lane and passing the ball to the open shooter in the corner then thats what he's going to do. Good luck Deon we wish you much success at the college level and good luck Pflugerville we hope to see you going far into the playoffs this season.
