February 11, well chalk one more up for the Panthers who stay undefeated in district and will be the district 5A Region II champions. With consistent play from their senior guard Deon Mitchell who averaged 21 points and 5 assist as well as senior Cameron Blue 10 points and 5 rebounds, Jordan Major and Storm Woods both averaging 6 points per game the Panthers have been able to run through district without much trouble.
Junior Jamal Shabazz contributed 16 in this game and has also had a very consistent season averaging 12 points and 5 rebounds per game. At 6' 5" and returning next year Shabazz will surely be a big part of the panthers game plan in 2011.
